Locum Tenens Hospitalist opening in western New York
Job Description
Medstaff has a new Locum Tenens (or locum to perm) opportunity for an experienced Hospitalist in Western New York.
- Anticipated Start Date: July/August, 60-90 days privileging timeframe
- Hours: 7a – 7p, 7on / 7off schedule, call taken overnight from home with in-house coverage from an experienced APP
- Low Volume; Average 15 – 20 patients per shift
- 2 Admissions during day, 1-2 overnight
- Bread and butter practice
- Excellent nursing and APP support
- No ICU
- Procedures minimal, only occasional paracentesis
- Procedural support from GS, Anesthesiology, and EM
- Very light call volumes at night; MDs seldom come back in overnight (most issues are handled over the phone with the APP)
- Excellent subspecialty support from GS, Ortho, Urology
Required Credentials: Active New York medical license. Board certified.
Compensation: We offer a competitive hourly rate, travel, housing, and Medical Malpractice.
