Locumpedia is a locum tenens industry platform that helps physicians, staffing firms, and healthcare facilities make smart decisions with free news, resources, and tools.

We are based in St. Louis, Missouri, and are an official vendor member of NALTO, the National Association of Locum Tenens Organizations. We chose as our symbol a heart made from a stethoscope to reflect how we feel about the locum tenens community and its invaluable impact on the healthcare industry.

Locumpedia was conceived by two former journalists and veterans of a Top 3 locum tenens staffing company who helped bring that agency’s signature products to market. Since departing the firm, the pair has been exploring ways to give back to the industry that made such a strong mark on their careers.

A Growing Platform

The website debuted in summer 2020 when Locumpedia News launched at the outset of a global pandemic. Locumpedia News is the only online locum tenens magazine covering topics of interest to staffing agencies, direct employers, and locum tenens providers.

In fall 2020, Locumpedia Directory debuted. The directory consists of the most complete source of information about staffing agencies that provide locum tenens coverage to healthcare facilities.

In summer 2021, Locumpedia Search was unveiled in beta as the first web search engine for locum tenens jobs posted on agency websites. A simple keyword search such as “hospitalist georgia” returns job search results from a wide array of staffing agency websites.

Locumpedia Board launched in February 2022, and many more exciting product launches are expected later this year and in early 2023.
