Locumpedia Launches NationalHospitalWeek.org, another Marketing Resource for Healthcare Staffing Agencies

Despite the bad rap America’s hospitals often receive around affordability and accessibility, it’s an undisputed fact that our healthcare facilities offer the best medical care in the world. While that’s made possible by the most advanced equipment available, it’s actually the caring people who work tirelessly in these complex buildings who deserve most of the credit.

Recognizing the profound contributions these healthcare heroes make to our lives, the medical industry proudly celebrates National Hospital Week each year. In 2024, this celebration spans the week of May 12 to 18.

Today, Locumpedia, the ultimate resource for locum tenens, is excited to announce the debut of NationalHospitalWeek.org, a comprehensive resource designed to support staffing firms as they honor the compassionate care delivered by their client facilities and their hospital associates. The site is a companion resource to NationalDoctorsDay.org, our highly popular resource for honoring doctors on their own day of recognition.

The repository of marketing tools and inspiration available at NationalHospitalWeek.org works alongside but independently of the American Hospital Association and its official National Hospital Week campaign that advocates for hospitals from the AHA’s unique vantage point as the industry’s premier member organization.

A Symphony of Care

Locumpedia’s marketing slogan for staffing firms, “America’s Hospitals: A Symphony of Compassionate Care,” captures the essence of healthcare delivery. It highlights the collective effort of diverse healthcare roles—from physicians and nurses to administrators and support staff—as they come together in harmony, much like an orchestra, to create a symphony of patient care and healing.

NationalHospitalWeek.org is designed to provide healthcare staffing agencies with tools to enhance their celebrations, including:

  • Marketing Toolkit: Compose your marketing campaign with this toolkit, including independent National Hospital Week brand logos, fonts, and colors.
  • Ways to Celebrate: Take these inspirational ideas, email and press release templates, and social media graphics, and infuse your agency’s campaigns with deeper meaning.
  • Resources for Hospital Workers: Help hospital employees access mental health resources, financial assistance, and exclusive benefits.
  • More to Come: In the days leading up to the event, Locumpedia will add even more resources to help with your marketing campaigns. Have a special request? Let us know how we can serve you as you serve the facilities that make our work possible.

The Significance of Hospital Week

National Hospital Week was established in 1921 as “National Hospital Day” to restore the public’s confidence in hospitals following the 1918 Spanish Flu pandemic. Expanding to a week-long celebration in 1953, Hospital Week coincides with Florence Nightingale’s birthday on May 12, acknowledging her pioneering contributions to modern nursing and hospital care.

Today, Hospital Week is one of the nation’s largest healthcare celebrations, shedding light on the role of over 6,000 hospitals and the dedication of more than 7 million healthcare workers across the United States. It’s a time to reflect on the commitment of hospital staff who guard our health and the well-being of our communities.

Take a Bow, Healthcare Heroes

Locumpedia is privileged to be in a position to help the medical community support the unsung heroes of healthcare. The resources presented on NationalHospitalWeek.org are meant to help staffing agencies recognize the myriad contributions of hospital workers, and we encourage healthcare staffing agencies to leverage these resources now and in the years ahead. We hope you’ll join us in making National Hospital Week a memorable and impactful tribute to hospital staff.
