100% Virtual Primary Care Physician Job
This opportunity is offered through Medix, a national healthcare staffing agency, in partnership with one of our top clients committed to delivering high-quality, accessible healthcare across the country. We are currently seeking board-certified physicians to join their virtual care team and provide compassionate, evidence-based primary care via telehealth.
The Details:
- Fully remote – Applicants MUST be licensed in 3 of the following states: AL, CA, GA, IN, LA, MI, MO, MS, NC, NJ, OH, OK, PA, SC, TN, or TX.
- Pay rate: $130–$140/hour (hourly pay – not per assessment)
- Hours: 40, 32, or 20 hours per week
- Patient Population: See patients of all ages
- Types of Patients: See patients of all ages for acute and chronic conditions such as: cold, cough, flu, strep throat, UTIs, COVID, rashes, nasal congestion, sore throats, allergies, eye concerns, depression, and anxiety
- EMR: Athenahealth
- Start Date: Late September 2025 – February 2026. Flexible start dates available from late September to mid-December 2025
Mandatory Qualifications
- Active Board Certification (preferably in Family Practice or Emergency Medicine)
- Must be comfortable treating patients of all ages
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an Urgent Care or Family Practice setting
- Comfortable using telehealth platforms and EMR systems
- Not excluded from Medicare/Medicaid participation
- Physician must provide their own equipment (laptop, internet connection, etc.)
Must have at least 3 active state licenses* from the following list: AL, CA, GA, IN, LA, MI, MO, MS, NC, NJ, OH, OK, PA, SC, TN, or TX

Official Job Description
As a Virtual Primary Care Physician, you’ll help make high-quality care more accessible to patients, ensuring they receive clear, compassionate, and personalized treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct virtual medical evaluations and exams via phone/video
- Order and interpret labs; develop and implement treatment plans
- Clearly communicate diagnoses, next steps, and care instructions
- Document visits accurately using electronic health records (within 72 hours)
- Maintain expected productivity: 2.5–3.5 patients/hour
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care
