Level II trauma-designated facility in Pennsylvania is seeking a
full-time Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) physician for
ongoing inpatient rehab coverage starting June 2, 2025, due to a
turnover vacancy. The role includes weekday shifts (Monday–Friday, 8
AM–4:30 PM), with occasional call weeks requiring night call (4:30 PM–8
AM) and weekend day rounding (Saturday–Sunday, 8 AM–4:30 PM). Coverage
is needed for specific July dates (1–4, 7–11, 14–20) and August dates
(11–15, 18–22, 25–31). Candidates must be board certified or board
eligible (DO or MD), have an active PA license or IMLC (not required to
apply but highly preferred), and hold BLS certification. The role
involves rounding on up to 20 inpatient rehab patients daily and
performing 2–3 admissions and 4–5 consults per day, primarily managing
brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury, orthopedic trauma, and neuro
cases. Call is telephone-based with beeper, averaging zero admissions
overnight. EMR is Cerner, and full or temporary privileges are
available, with credentialing taking approximately 60 days. The facility
offers APP/mid-level support.
