facility is seeking a Locum Tenens Psychiatrist to provide coverage for
several dates in July (July 5–11, 14–25), with potential weekend needs
in August and September. The schedule is 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with
unrestricted call coverage from 5 p.m. to 8 a.m. if available. The
position is based in an inpatient psychiatric department with 27 beds,
an average daily census of 12 patients, and a team that includes 5
psychiatrists and 6 psychiatric NPs (whom the locum will supervise).
Facility does not treat pediatric patients. Familiarity with involuntary
commitments, seclusion therapy, pharmacotherapy, group therapy, and
restraint application is required, along with experience treating a wide
range of psychiatric disorders including anxiety, affective, psychotic,
personality, developmental, eating, organic disorders, and ADD/ADHD.
Safety protocols include a staff duress system and 24/7 onsite security.
Required certifications include BLS and Board Certification in
Psychiatry, with an active Michigan license.
