Other Details: The facility which is stroke-certified and PEDs level 3 is looking for a provider to cover on-site clinical hours only. There are an average of 5-10 patients per shift. The facility is urgently seeking one more BC or BE (within 6 years of residency) OB GYN provider for locum coverage starting in June. The provider must have a clean file with no
malpractice or background issues. Coverage is primarily needed for 12-hour in-house shifts (7a–7p and 7p–7a) Monday through Friday, with additional day and night coverage on weekends. The site will do their
best to support emergency privileges to expedite the process. This is a hospitalist role covering a unit with ten labor and delivery rooms, eight antepartum rooms, eighteen postpartum rooms, and two dedicated ORs. Responsibilities include care for unassigned OB and Gyn ED patients, surgical management of c-sections, spontaneous abortions, ovarian torsion, and assisting with both planned and unplanned C-sections. Most providers do not perform level 2 ultrasounds, amnios, or use forceps. Laborist back-up and perinatology support are available.
