NP/PA TB Testing Provider Needed for Villages in NW AK! Starts ASAP – Rotate Monthly for a Year!

Job Description

We are currently looking for two rotating Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners who can do TB testing in remote Northwest Alaska Native villages. Prefer APP with a Master’s in Public Health, but an MPH is not required.

Dates: ASAP and Ongoing – Start date is negotiable if you cannot start ASAP.

OVERVIEW:

• Locum Tenens
• Public Health experience preferred
• Monday to Friday 8am (or 9am) to 5pm 
• No on call
• Annual assignment preferred, month on month off or other rotating arrangements will be considered. 
• Travel to and from other village clinics 
• Patient Volume Village Clinic – Averages 5 per day

COMPENSATION DETAILS:

• Pay: $880 per day for every day you are in the village.
• Holidays are $1320 per day
• Paid travel day of $880 at the beginning and end of the assignment
• Housing and travel expenses included and are arranged for you
• Medical malpractice insurance provided
• 1099 contractor position

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant License with State of Alaska
• BLS, ACLS 
• Active DEA Registration 
• Covid Vaccinated with Booster required
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in primary care or public health
• Must be culturally sensitive and willing to embrace the native community and their culture.
