NP or PA, Great Opportunity for Rotating Locum Work in AK! $900/Day for Every Day on Assignment!
Job Description
We are currently looking for six rotating Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners (3 per rotation) who are able to provide high level emergency care and primary care. This is a rotating position, and shifts are 24 hours. Providers will be in clinic during the week, and take call after hours and on weekends. Provider must be comfortable working in remote clinic settings and committed to excellent patient care.
Dates: As soon as credentialing is completed (can take several weeks). This will be an ongoing rotation, excellent for anyone looking to establish a predictable stream of income while still working as a locum provider!
OVERVIEW:
- Locum Tenens
- Primary and Emergency Care and On-Call for Emergencies
- 8:00-5:00 in clinic; shared call after hours and on weekends/holidays
- Month on/month off rotations
- Patient Volume in Village Clinic – Averages 8 per day
COMPENSATION / Assignment:
- Pay: $840 per day for every day you are in the village, plus $60 Per Diem
- $100/hour for call-back to clinic
- Holidays are paid at 1.5 times daily rate
- Paid travel day of $840 at the beginning and end of the assignment, plus $60 Per Diem
- Housing and travel expenses included and are arranged for you
- Medical malpractice insurance provided
- 1099 contractor position
- Mindful and meaningful medicine in a small community

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant License with State of Alaska
- BLS, ACLS, ATLS and PALS
- Active DEA Registration
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in emergency and primary medicine
- Alaska bush experience highly preferred
- Must be culturally sensitive and willing to embrace the native community and their culture.
