NP Hospitalist for Findlay, OH (Locum or Perm)

Job Description

Blanchard Valley is looking for 2-3 Locum or Locum to Perm Nurse Practitioner to join their hospitalist team!

Dates of coverage needed:
• Starting 10/28/2022 – ongoing
• Also need PRN and urgent call-off coverage
• Works 5pm – 5am (12 hour shifts) 4 days a week ( Mon-Thurs)
• Then 5pm – 3am (10 hours shifts) 3 days a week (Fri-Sun)
• One week on, one week off

Duties:
• Mainly answer floor calls, and number of new admits for NP can vary from 4-8. Total admits are usually 10-22. Usually doc does lot more admits.
• No Peds
• They will always be accompanied by a hospitalist physician in house.
• Higher acuity, ICU admissions are usually handled by the night physician.
• The NP will be holding the main phone answering all non-urgent floor calls and helping the physician with new admissions.
• Inpatient experience is a must, and hospitalist experience would be even better. Ideally would have at least two years of experience.
• Since there is a physician in house there is no need for procedures, but if they experience with procedures that is a benefit.
• Support available- Hospitalist physician, pul, surgery, on call backup for any crashing or, anesthesia for intubations.
• They have a hospitalist house for accommodations within walking distance of the hospital.

Submission Requirements
Active state license – Highly Preferred
Clean malpractice – Highly Preferred
Board Certified – Highly Preferred
ACLS/BLS – Required
Local – Highly Preferred

Information that MUST be included at time of presentation:
• Have they ever had action on licensure?
• Have they ever been terminated?
• Why are they doing locums?
• Why did they leave their last workplace?
• Covid compliant (first two shots or medical/religious exemption)
