Job Description

Specialty: Gastroenterology
Location: Oxford, MS
Reason For Coverage: Additional Coverage Needed, lost the GI group
Dates: Flexible schedule; they would like blocks of coverage, ongoing. Start ASAP
Shift & Call Details: 8 hours on-site during the day, Call coverage the remainder of the time
Credentialing Timeframe: Can grant emergency temp privs
Job Details:

  • Setting: Inpatient,
  • GI transfers from the emergency department, along with patients that walk in during the day with GI issues, as well as coverage for hospitalist consults for inpatient services
  • Patient Volume: 3 emergency procedures/week and 4 consults/day
  • ERCP/EUS not required, but preferred
  • No APP support
  • EMR: Epic
  • Client Requirements: Must be Board Certified
  • All travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered
