Locum – Physician – Family Practice East Jordan, MI
Job Description
East Jordan Family Health Center is seeking a Family Practice locum to provide coverage starting as soon as credentialed through Winter 2023. Facility will accept providers looking for a permanent opportunity as well!
• Schedule: Monday – Friday 8a-5p. Half-day Saturday in rotation with other providers (about 1: 5).
• Call Schedule: One week every other month. Phone coverage only. Calls triaged by nurse call center at tertiary care center before our providers are contacted (if need be).
• 15-20 patients per day
• Number of Physicians in Practice: Site one – 3.
• 2-4 mid-levels, depending on availability of supervising physician
• Locum will be responsible supervising other healthcare providers
• Number of Exam Rooms: 2-3 per provider. Nine exam rooms total on site.
• Services Available On-Site: Laboratory, Radiology, Behavioral Health, Dental, Optical
• EMR: NextGen
• Patient Population: Adult, Geriatric, Pediatrics, Newborns
Noted Required Procedures:
• MAT management (medication assisted treatment for opioid depedence)
• EKG interpretation
• General outpatient procedures
Estimated credentialing timeframe: 30-60 days
Submission Requirements
Board Certified Family Medicine / BE within 5 years of residency – Required
MI license at the time of submission – Required
BLS, ACLS – Required
DOT and MAT – Preferred
Must be comfortable with newborns – Required
