Job Description
Dates:
- ASAP and ongoing once credentialing is completed. (Typically 60-90 days.)
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive primary and high-level emergency medical care.
- Must be able to work independently in a solo provider site.
- May work collaboratively with health aides or other APPs.
- Manage patient care with a daily volume averaging 8-12.
- May rotate between villages.
- On-call for emergencies.
- Must be culturally sensitive and willing to embrace Alaska Native communities.
Requirements:
- Valid Alaska NP or PA license.
- BLS, ACLS. PALS and ATLS may be required, depending on location.
- Minimum two years of experience in emergency and primary medicine.
- Remote medical experience, especially in Alaska bush, is highly preferred.
- Active DEA registration.
- Proof of COVID vaccine(s).
- Preferred for some rotations: OB and peds experience.
Compensation:
- Highly competitive pay ($880 – $900/day plus call rates, holiday pay, and travel days).
- Flexible scheduling and rotations. Shifts vary per assignment.
- Housing, travel expenses, and medical malpractice insurance are covered.
