Locum NP or PA, $900 Per Day PLUS $250 for Call Every Day You’re in the Village, Rotations Available

Job Description

We are looking to secure several Advance Practice Providers to cover several different villages which vary in population size.  Some villages have health aides or another APP who help with scheduled patients and share call.  Providers must have remote clinic experience in primary and emergency care.  OB and Peds experience are preferred but not required.

The first rotation will include orientation conducted at the main clinic and providers will be paid an hourly clinic rate of $105 per hour, plus OT for hours over 8 in a day. No call duties are required during orientation.

Dates: Start upon completion of credentialing which is 60-90 days, but can be faster if provider is very organized and responsive.  Offer any rotating schedule that works for you this will be on going indefinitely.

OVERVIEW For Village Positions:

• Locum Tenens
• Primary Care and Emergency Call
• 9:00-5:00 in clinic; shared call after hours, weekends and holidays
• Month on/month off rotations
• Patient Volume Averages 8-12per day
• No Pets
• 1099 Position
• Direct deposit 1st and 15th each month

COMPENSATION:

• $900 per day for every day you are in the village
• $250 Per Call Shift
• Holidays are paid at 1.5 times daily rate
• Travel days at the beginning and end of the assignment paid at the daily rate
• Housing and travel expenses included and are arranged
• Medical malpractice insurance provided

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant License with State of Alaska
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• ATLS preferred
• Active DEA Registration 
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in emergency and primary medicine
• Remote medical experience is highly preferred
