- 12-hour physician shifts
- Annual ED volume: 12,000
- Responsibilities: Serve as supervising physician for NPs and PAs
- EMR: Epic
- Education: MD or DO from an accredited school; completion of an ACGME/AOA-approved 3-year residency (EM, FM, or IM); ECFMG required for foreign medical graduates
- Clinical experience: EM residency graduates within the past 12 months may be considered; 3-month proctorship required
- Licensure: Active, unrestricted Virginia medical license; DEA with Virginia address and schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5
- Certifications: BC, ABEM/AOBEM, or ABMS board certification in FM, IM, or EM
- Certifications (if not ABEM/EM-trained): ACLS, ATLS, and PALS; NRP required for non-ABEM providers
- Immunizations/testing: MMR and Varicella (2 doses) or titers; TB test within past 12 months or QuantiFERON Gold within 3 months plus second TB prior to privileging; chest X-ray if TB positive; current-season influenza vaccine
