Greetings. I am a general surgeon, board-certified with the American Board of Surgery, volunteering in Burundi, East Africa since 2018. I have extensive experience in resource limited settings, having worked in Mexico, Kenya, Sudan, Dominican Republic, Honduras, Togo, Bangladesh, Haiti, and Burundi. I am also uniquely a fellow of the College of Surgeons of East, Central, and Southern Africa (COSECSA). I am passionate about medical education, training, and mentorship, with current roles as Associate Professor of Surgery at Kibuye Hope Hospital and Hope Africa University in Burundi as well as the Program Director for a new general surgery residency program started in 2022. I will be back in the US temporarily for a few months in 2023 and am actively looking for locums opportunities.
