Assignment Overview
A well-established cancer treatment center in Michigan is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Radiation Oncologist to provide locum tenens coverage beginning in December, with ongoing assignments available through 2026 while a permanent physician search is underway.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative oncology team utilizing advanced radiation technologies in a supportive outpatient-focused environment.
Schedule
Monday – Friday
7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
24-hour call shared 1:2 with another Radiation Oncologist
No inpatient rounding required
Coverage blocks available 1–4 weeks per month
Practice Environment
2 Radiation Oncologists
1 Nurse Practitioner
Experienced radiation therapy and clinical support staff
Hospital-affiliated cancer center
Patient Volume
Outpatient clinic: 10–15 patients per day
Adult oncology population
No routine inpatient responsibilities

Conventional Radiotherapy
3D Conformal Radiation Therapy (3D-CRT)
Image-Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT)

Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy (SBRT)
Fractionated Stereotactic Radiotherapy

Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiation Oncology
Michigan Medical License required (IMLC/LOQ eligible)
BLS Certification
Travel & Compensation
