We are seeking skilled Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to provide essential primary and urgent care in this distinctive location. Location: Rural Southwest Alaska

Job Type: 1099 Locum Tenens Contract

Date Range: December 2026 and ongoing

Job Specialty: Primary Care

Assignments: Rotation dates are flexible - work around your personal life!

• 4-week rotation preferred
• Initial assignment includes a 1-week orientation

Schedule: 

• Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
• No Call
• No Weekends, No Holidays

Compensation: (make $16,900+ per month!)

• $106.00 regular hourly rate
• $159.00 hourly overtime rate
• 2 paid travel days, paid 8 hrs at the regular hourly rate (1 arrival, 1 departure)
• Access to training and educational resources

Facility Information:  

• Patient Volume, Clinic: Averages 10-12 patients per day
• Full clinic staff support and collaborative team environment

Requirements:

• Active Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) license with the State of Alaska
• Nurse Practitioners: AANP certification required, FNP preferred
• Physician Assistants: NCCPA certification required
• Active BLS, ACLS, & PALS
• Active DEA registration
• 5 years of primary care, urgent care experience preferred
• Must be able and willing to see patients of all ages
• Experience with orthopedic surgery (casting/splinting)
• OB & Pediatric experience highly preferred, but not required
• Experience working in remote Alaska is highly preferred
• Must be culturally sensitive and willing to embrace the native community and their culture
