06003B – We're recruiting Advanced Practice Providers for a Locum Tenens assignment on a Rural Southeast Alaskan island. This scenic island has no shortage of rich culture, outdoor activities, and amazing wildlife. This is a Hospitalist/ED + Primary Care position in which candidates must have at least 2-years experience. We are looking for providers who are able to offer rotations on an ongoing basis. Are you ready for your next Alaskan adventure?

Location: Southeast Alaska

Job Type: 1099 Locum Tenens Contract

Date Range: Immediate Start Date & Ongoing Rotations

Job Specialties: Hospitalist, Emergency Medicine

Compensation: $15,000+ per month!

• $97.00 hourly rate
• $145.50 hourly overtime rate
• $145.50 hourly call-back rate
• $225.00 daily call rate
• $145.50 hourly holiday rate (limited holidays apply)
• 2 paid travel days, paid 8 hours at the regular hourly rate (1 arrival, 1 departure)

Schedule: Must be able to commit to regular, ongoing rotations - prefer 7 consecutive days in a row

• Day Shift: 8:00am-4:00pm (Onsite) OR
• Night Shift: 4:00pm-Midnight (Onsite) + Midnight-8:00am (Call)

Responsibilities:

• Patient Volume, ED: Averages 3-4 patients per day
• Patient Volume, Inpatient: Averages 3 patients per day
• Staffing Mix: 3 additional providers, MAs, Behavioral Health, Dental Services, Administrative Staff
• Low to moderate acuity with intermittent higher acuity presentations requiring stabilization and transfer
• Inpatient care and stabilization
• Emergency Department coverage
• Care Coordination with nursing staff, behavioral health, and regional consultants

Position Requirements:

• Active Alaska State Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Associate (PA) license
• Active BLS, ACLS, ATLS, NRP, PALS, BLSO/ALSO or CALS
• Active DEA registration
• Board Certified
• Minimum 2 years of primary care experience
• Emergency Medicine & Inpatient experience
• Comfortable working with limited on-site specialty backup
• Direct experience with medevac and patient care stabilization including intubations, chest tubes, and complicated airways; must have strong suturing skills
• Must be culturally sensitive and willing to embrace the native community and their culture
