**Position Overview: Interventional Radiology Specialist**

We are seeking a highly qualified Interventional Radiologist to provide comprehensive coverage within a hospital setting. This role demands a professional with advanced expertise in interventional radiology procedures, capable of delivering high-quality patient care across a diverse array of diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.

**Coverage Details:**
– **Start Date:** As soon as credentialing is successfully completed.
– **Duration:** Ongoing engagement.
– **Shift Schedule:** To be determined; anticipated to be Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
– **Location:** Hospital environment, ensuring access to state-of-the-art medical facilities and multidisciplinary teams.

**Procedural Responsibilities:**
The incumbent will perform a broad spectrum of interventional and diagnostic procedures, including but not limited to:
– Fluoroscopic interventions (e.g., Barium Enema, Barium Swallow, Modified Barium Swallow, Upper GI studies) accounting for approximately 10% of cases.
– Computed Tomography (CT)-guided interventions, constituting about 35%.
– Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)-related procedures (~5%).
– Ultrasound (US) guided interventions (~5%).
– X-ray (XR) procedures, comprising roughly 40%, including inpatient routine, urgent, and stroke-related interventions.
– Additional procedures such as paracentesis, thoracentesis, abscess drainage, chest tube placement, percutaneous drainage, CT/US-guided biopsies, arthrograms, lumbar punctures, among others.

The radiologist will also be responsible for interpreting diagnostic imaging between procedural cases, ensuring accurate diagnoses and optimal patient outcomes.

**Workload Expectations:**
A minimum of 55 Relative Value Units (RVUs) per shift is anticipated to maintain service standards and productivity metrics.

**Electronic Medical Record System:**
– Powerscribe 4.0 for documentation and reporting.
– RPCE Tech Stack for efficient workflow management.

**Qualifications:**
– Board Certification in Interventional Radiology (BC IR) is required.
– Candidates who are Board Eligible and within five years of certification are also acceptable.
– Active Kentucky medical license is mandatory.

**Credentialing Timeline:**
An estimated period of 60 to 90 days is anticipated for credentialing and privileging processes.

**Additional Requirements:**
– Prior experience with mammography is preferred but not essential.
– Demonstrated proficiency in a broad range of interventional procedures and diagnostic interpretations.
