Scope of Work: Emergency Medicine
Licenses, Certifications, Requirements: ABEM/ABOM only, Active FL License, DEA
EMR: Meditech
Provider must be able to work days, nights, and weekends
Reason for the need? Resignations
What are expectations for orientation? (ie, shadow day? EMR training?) 2 shadow days and EMR Training
Are case logs needed? If so, what are the requirements? Yes, procedures
Number of ER Bays? 10-11
Number of Patients/Hour? 0.5 – 2
What’s the patient mix? Mix of kids & adults, mostly level 3 & 4. Sometimes level 2
Trauma center designation? N/A
Is there nurse/APP Triage for lower acuity? No
Shift lengths? (8, 10, 12) 12
AM and PM Shift Coverage Needed? Yes
Staffing Model: How many other EM Providers are on at the same time? One
What does support staff include? Nurses, Radiology Staff
ED Admission Rate? 2-3%
