Emergency Medicine Physician

Location: Texas

Schedule

Day and night physician shifts with APP support. Physician shifts include 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. APP shift examples include 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM.

Position Overview

Provide emergency medicine physician coverage in a community hospital emergency department.

Annual emergency department volume referenced as 32,000 with average encounters per day around 87.
Trauma designation referenced as Level III.
Charting system: Cerner.
Cross credentialing across affiliated sites may be required.

Required Qualifications

MD or DO.
Board certified in Emergency Medicine through ABEM or AOBEM, or board eligible in Emergency Medicine with required certifications as accepted by the site.
Active Texas medical license.
DEA with Texas address and required schedules.
Texas controlled substance registration as required.
Candidates must have at least two years of clinical experience within the past five years to qualify.

Credentialing timeline varies by site. Estimated timeframe referenced as 61 to 90 days.

Temporary privileges may be available for clean files based on site policy.
