Emergency Medicine Physician (MD or DO)

Location: Ohio

Position Overview

Emergency medicine physician coverage in a 17 bed emergency department with approximately 25,000 visits annually.

Physicians supervise Physician Assistants; Medical Director supervises Nurse Practitioners.

Schedule

12 hour shifts.

Clinical Scope

Moderate sedation procedures as indicated.
Case logs for the previous 2 years required.

Required Qualifications

Residency trained in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine.
Active, unrestricted Ohio medical license.
Active DEA registration with Ohio address covering schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5.
NRP required for all physicians.
FM/IM physicians must also hold ACLS, PALS, and ATLS (EM board certified physicians are exempt from ACLS, PALS, and ATLS).
Seasonal influenza vaccine required.
Candidates must have at least two years of clinical experience within the past five years to qualify.
