A Buffalo-area cardiac surgery program is adding nurse practitioner and physician assistant coverage to its cardiovascular ICU. You admit patients straight out of the OR and follow them as the primary team through discharge. This is a true CVICU role, not float or cross-cover, so it fits an APP currently working post-op cardiac patients. ▪ Admit from the OR and manage as primary team to discharge ▪ 12-hour shifts: 6a-6p or 6p-6a, weekdays and weekends ▪ Epic EMR ▪ $150/hr Required hands-on skills: ▪ Basic ventilator management ▪ Chest tube removal ▪ Line removal ▪ Intra-aortic balloon pump management Open to both NPs and PAs with current CVICU or post-op cardiac experience and an active or eligible New York license. You work with one recruiter from submittal through start date. We handle New York licensure support, malpractice coverage, and travel and housing.
