After a successful debut in 2022, Locumpedia is excited to announce that nominations are now being accepted for our Second Annual Locum Tenens Providers of the Year award campaign.
Resurrecting the tradition started by LocumLife magazine, Locumpedia’s annual campaign aims to recognize physicians and advanced practice providers who crushed it for their patients while working on a temporary basis in 2023.
Last year, the five winning providers were described as: “Selfless,” “the difference between life and death,” “stabilizing,” “serving the underserved,” and “philanthropic.”
These trailblazing Locum Tenens Providers of the Year were nominated by Weatherby Healthcare, Wilderness Medical Staffing, Floyd Lee Locums, Barton Associates, and Health Carousel Locum Tenens (now Caliber Healthcare Solutions).
How it Works
To be eligible for Locum Tenens Provider of the Year, physicians and APPs must meet the following five qualifying criteria:
- Practice exclusively in the United States
- Work in a generally recognized medical specialty
- They exhibited truly exceptional patient care in 2023
- A tenure of at least three months with the nominating agency
- Worked two or more assignments with the agency
Only authorized representatives of locum tenens staffing agencies can nominate providers for the award. This includes recruiters, account managers, credentialing or accounting staff, or a leadership team member.
There is no limit to the number of providers who can be nominated. However, we recommend focusing on the quality of a nomination rather than the quantity, as only one provider can win per agency.
A maximum of 10 providers will be named a Locumpedia Provider of the Year. The minimum number will depend on how many nominations are submitted. Last year, five providers won out of 24 entries.
