Job Description

2377SG We’ve got 3 great locum opportunities for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Western Alaska!

This position is a mixture of emergency on-call and primary care in a remote Alaska clinic.

Here are the details:

Dates: August 8 – Dec 30, rotating presence, month on, month off or other schedule as negotiated (dates will extend into 2023, see note below)

Client prefers providers who can continue for a minimum of 2 years with a minimum schedule of 1 month on and 1 months off. If provider can only do 1 year, then client would consider them if they could do a schedule that’s heavier than 4 weeks on / 4 weeks off.

Duties: Provide primary care coverage in an outpatient clinic and be on-call for emergencies – The patient volume is typically low!

Pay: $825.00 per day, for every day you are in the village
1 day of paid travel to and from assignment, paid at daily rate
Holiday pay: Time and a half for Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day

Accommodations: All travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are provided

Other: 1099 Contract through WMS
Alaska NP/PA license
ACLS, PALS
Active DEA Certificate
Good primary care and emergency medicine experience
Must be able to work independently in a solo provider site

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

ACLS, BLS, PALS required, ATLS a plus
DEA required
Preferred to have at least two years working remotely and be comfortable working solo or with minimal support staff.
Passion for remote healthcare!

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATE REQUIREMENTS:

Active Alaska NP/PA license required.
